Drainage

Foul and surface water systems, chambers, attenuation and sewer connections — installed, tested and signed off before anything gets covered over.

Overview

Tested before it is buried, not after

Drainage is the one package where a mistake disappears under a metre of stone before anyone finds it. So it gets tested while it is still open: air tests, CCTV where specified, and levels confirmed against the drawing before backfill goes anywhere near it.

We also deal with the part that holds jobs up — the connection. Sewer connection approvals, adoption requirements and the water authority’s inspection all get handled as part of the works rather than left with you.

Tested open Air tested and surveyed before backfill
Falls checked to drawing

Invert levels confirmed run by run, so a shallow fall is caught while it is still fixable.

Connections handled

Sewer connection approvals and water authority inspections dealt with as part of the package.

Survey records supplied

Test certificates and CCTV records handed over for your as-built file.

How we deliver it

How a drainage package runs

The same sequence every time, so you know what happens next and who owns it.

Backfill and hand over
Step 1 of 5 Drawings and approvals

We price from the drainage layout and start the connection approvals early, because that is what usually holds a job up.

Step 2 of 5 Excavation

Trenches dug to the right depth and width, with support where the depth needs it.

Step 3 of 5 Lay to falls

Pipework bedded and laid to the invert levels on the drawing, checked run by run.

Step 4 of 5 Test and survey

Air testing and CCTV where specified, carried out while the runs are still open.

Step 5 of 5 Backfill and hand over

Surround and backfill to specification, covers set to level, and certificates handed over.

Yes. We start the application early because the water authority’s timescales, not the digging, are usually what decides when a connection can happen.

Always. Air testing, and CCTV survey where the specification calls for it, are done while the runs are still open. Certificates are handed over with the works.

Yes, where the scheme requires it. Adoptable drainage has its own material, bedding and inspection requirements and we price it as such rather than discovering it later.

A survey before we start usually finds it. If something turns up mid-works we stop, tell you the same day, and price the change before carrying on.

Yes — tanks, crates and soakaways, excavated, bedded, surrounded and connected, then commissioned as part of the same package.
