Reef in Buckinghamshire

Our closest county after Hillingdon.

Iver is minutes away. Gerrards Cross, Beaconsfield and Denham are a short run up the road, and High Wycombe is still a comfortable morning. For a lot of Buckinghamshire jobs we are the nearest groundworks contractor a main contractor will find.

That closeness shows up in the small things: a machine moved the same afternoon, a supervisor on site within the hour, a change priced before the end of the day.

Send the plans, the scope and the dates you need to hit. You get an honest answer on whether it suits us.

Step 2 of 5 Site visit

We walk it and check access, levels, ground conditions and services. Most surprises get found here rather than mid-dig.

Step 3 of 5 Measured price

A priced package with the build order set out and a start date we are willing to commit to.

Step 4 of 5 On site

Our own crews, plant and supervision, with one point of contact reporting as the works progress.

Inspected, signed off and cleared, ready for the follow-on trades to start on programme.

Working in Buckinghamshire

Chilterns chalk, green belt and a lot of village access.

The north of the county runs into the Chilterns, where chalk and flint change the dig and the founding depth. Further south the ground is mixed gravels and clay. It is not a county where one foundation detail suits every site.

Most of the southern belt is green belt or AONB, and plenty of sites sit on lanes that a full-size wagon cannot turn in. Access planning is usually the first real conversation.

Chalk, flint and clay Founding depth taken from the site investigation, not assumed. Green belt and AONB Designation checked against the address before setting out. Village lane access Wagon size and turning worked out before we mobilise. Party wall notices Served early, because notice periods move start dates.

Buckinghamshire questions

Asked on this side of town.

If yours is not here, ring the office — it is usually a two-minute answer.

Very. Iver is about ten minutes from the yard and most of the southern county is inside half an hour, which makes us one of the nearest groundworks contractors available on those jobs.

Yes. What changes is the approval route and the constraints on access, storage and hours, so the designation gets checked against the address before anything is set out.

Wagon size, turning and delivery windows are worked out before mobilisation. On tight lanes that sometimes means smaller loads and more of them, and that is priced honestly rather than discovered later.

Yes, and it changes the dig. Founding depth, batter angles and how the excavation behaves in wet weather all come off the site investigation rather than a guess.

Yes, and that is how most of our Buckinghamshire work runs, from clearance through to external works under one contract.
